They're one of my favorites!
They met on the set of "Christine" (1958), felt in love and she moved with him to Paris. Schneider became engaged to Delon in 1959. They never got married though, they were always delaying it. Delon broke up with her in 1964, breaking her heart(some say).
They continued starring in films together, like La Piscine (The Swimming Pool) (1968), wich I happen to love! That's were I learned that they were engaged once, wich made perfect sense cause they seemed so confortable with eachother in the movie, and they had such intimicy...that could not be only acting, so I decided to google them both :P
They remained lifelong friends.
In January 1981, Alain Delon and Romy Schneider were named "the actors preferred by the public" in a French magazine.
Alain placed a piece of paper with the following words on her tomb: "Tu n'as jamais été aussi belle, tu vois j'ai appris quelques mots allemands pour toi: Ich liebe dich meine Liebe" witch means "You have never been so beautful, you see that I learned some words in German for you: I love you my love)"

As for the next shots..they weren't together for years when these where taken...look how well they get along...:) They were taken durinr the filming of "La piscine" (1969)
They seemed like such a fun couple...always laughing and playing together! <3

Alain looks pretty gay-like, nothing to do with masculinity :-D! I'm wondering what today's women like about those femine weak poor boys - just look at Bud Spencer and get oriented :o)!
